The Panasonic AG-HPX170 is a handheld P2HD camera which builds on the tradition and success of the AG-HVX200. The camera's enhanced sensor provides lower noise levels while increasing sensitivity in low-light situations. Unlike the AG-HVX200, the AG-HPX170 does not include a tape drive, opting for a lighter and more durable frame. Sony's HDR-AX2000 makes for an impressive prosumer-level AVCHD camcorder. While not as decked out as the HVX-NX5U (its NXCAM pro counterpart), it's a clear step up from its HDV predecessor, the HDR-FX1000. The NEX-EA50UH Camcorder with 18-200mm Servo Zoom Lens initiates Sony's new EA Series of camcorders designed for cinematic event videography. With an increasing consumer shift towards widescreen TVs that deliver the full width of film-based theatrical movies, plus the resulting need for productions in the 16:9 aspect ratio, Canon's XL2 offers both the standard 4:3 aspect ratio and the 16:9 widescreen TV aspect ratio. JVC's modular GY-HM750 Compact Shoulder Camcorder is a professional ENG camera that uses the same 1/3" 3CCD sensor and 68-pin chassis as the GY-HM790. The Sony PMW-160 XDCAM HD422 Camcorder features three 1/3" Exmor CMOS sensors and a 20x power zoom lens. PMW-160 utilizes the XDCAM HD422 format at 50Mbps. The articulated LCD monitor and EVF each feature 480 vertical lines of resolution. The Sony PMW-200 XDCAM HD422 Camcorder is the successor to Sony's well respected PMW-EX1/R camcorder. It supports the 50 Mbps MPEG HD422 codec and MXF recording. The PMW-200 is equipped with three 1/2" Full HD 1920 x 1080 Exmor CMOS sensors, which support 1000 TV1 high resolution, F11 (2000 lx) high sensitivity, low 56dB noise and a wide dynamic range.
