Sony HDR-CX250 Full HD Camcorder in Black
Full 1080p HD
The CX-250 records HD movies in full 1920x1080 resolution, but also with a 50p frame rate. The P is for progressive, meaning the complete image is refreshed 50 times per second rather than 50% of it as performed with 1080i interlaced formats. This results in super smooth motion, especially good when panning and recording fast-moving action. The Exmor RTM sensor is extra fast and sensitive and this is coupled to the BIONZ processor, giving the camera great performance in low light.
30x Zoom G Lens with 55x Extended Zoom
Sony’s G lenses are some of their highest quality optics and are ideal for HD recorders. This camera is equipped with 30x Optical Zoom including 29.8mm Wide Angle (equivalent) and 55x Extended Zoom which increases the zoom range without noticeable detriment to the image quality.
Optical SteadyShot with Active Mode
The optical image stabiliser included in this camcorder has an enhanced Active Mode which gives 3-way correction to adapt to shake while walking and at long zoom settings, keeping shakiness out of the way of your footage.
Face Detection and Smile Shutter
This camcorder will recognise faces in a frame and adjust focus and exposure accordingly. In Stills mode there is Smile Shutter which fires the camera when your subject smiles. This mode can fire off stills during video recording as well.
Intelligent Auto
The iAUTO mode uses up to 180 combinations of scene types, face detection and handheld or tripod mounted scenarios to intelligently ascertain the best settings for great image quality.
Great Sound Quality
It’s fine having superb images but without a decent soundtrack your movie will still lack professionalism, The CX250 has stereo sound with the option of an external microphone, It also has Auto Wind Noise Reduction with automatic correction level which cancels-out these irritating sound effects. In addition there is Closer Voice which works with Face Detection and increases microphone directionality when you require voices to be picked out against a noisy backdrop.
